Tara Renaud. English Instructor. Columbia College, 333 Terminal Avenue. Vancouver, BC. V6A 4C1.
Dear Mrs. Renaud:
My name is Dat and I am from Vietnam. This is the first time I arrived in Canada. Luckily, I am one of your lovely students this semester in Columbia College. Therefore, I would like to introduce myself a bit for you.
I had a lot of memorable experiences at my high school before I studied abroad. I had many friends who were kind and interesting. I was a really shy person; however, they helped me a lot to make me feel comfortable and more confident. For this reason, I have became more integrated, happier, and more open-minded. Although the time that I stayed with my friends at the same class is only a year, it is still the most beautiful time of my life. I was really upset because I had to leave. however, I could come over it and start a new life.
It has been a year since I arrived in Vancouver. I love this city so much because of the weather. I have allergies to the sun; therefore , Vancouver is the best place for me. I have made a lot of new friends who come from different parts of the world. I feel more confident and assertive than myself a year ago. I was surprised for I do not think that a guy who was very shy and do not want to come face to face like me can be an extrovert man. It is a big positive change of my life.
With the positive changes, I hope that I can complete myself more in the future.
I want to help people around me and live a happy life.
Thanks for reading.
Yours truly.
DAT
