My Perfect Day

There is a lot of ways to define the word “Youth”. Each people has for themselves the own way to define their youth. And in my heart, youth is described as the high-school time as well as the brightest part of my life. When looking back this prime of life, I found myself surrounded happily with a close family, the best friends and the amazing memories with people I love so much. The perfect day I have had is also the day when I spent with my friends on the last day at school before studying abroad.

This was one winter cold day as well as the last day I had a chance to study in the same class with friends having been by my side for almost 2 years. To make it more special, I decided to come to class earlier, at around 6:30 pm, which seemed to very abnormal as I had been always been at school after 7 am. I walked slowly around the schoolyard where I used to play with friends in the breaks and went through the lobby which had witnessed clearly my youth there. These things raised for me a lot of emotional feelings when I needed to accept that that day was the last day of mine in this school. Sitting in my class, I looked around carefully as I wanted to remember every single detail of this, from the blackboard to the funny pictures in the wall I had drawn with classmates. All of them are meaningful parts of my life. And then, suddenly, there was a lucky feeling in my heart. I felt it as my honor to have the kind classmates, to sit in the class and to study in this school.

However, I suddenly realized something got wrong when there was no one appearing in the class at nearly 7:30 am. Then, I received a message from the head teacher to inform about the first lesson in the computer room. I felt strange but still ran fastly to that room. However, what was waiting for me in the class was not any lesson, but a secret surprise party with a lot of balloons, flowers, cakes, and gifts. When knowing everything, I burst into tears as a kid. I could never hope anything from my friends because I knew everyone was very busy with the coming exam. But they still spent their time and gave me an awesome gift like that, which made me completely moved and surprised. They have made a boring lesson into one of the most memorable lessons when we spent together to look back at our memories and give each other the best wishes in the future. At that time, there was a complex of feeling in my mind. I felt sad when saying goodbye with friends, teachers who closed to me for a long time but felt nervous and exciting with new things ahead of me in a different country.

This is what happened on a perfect day I have had in life. One of some last day of Winter 2017. The ending for my prime time in high school in Vietnam, but also the beginning of another chapter of my life, in Canada. November 3rd, 2017.
